SoTD: Elliott Smith “Because”
I’ll admit it, I’m not the biggest Beatles fan in the world. I can recognize and appreciate their place in rock history, but I can’t get over John’s nasal thing and the fact that he was kind of a douche (bye Cynthia and Julian, I have a new life now). Paul is mostly harmless and seems earnest enough, but I also find him terribly bland. However, because I am a whore for cover tunes, I adore it when someone takes a Beatles song and makes it better. This short, sweet bit of lovely is just that kind of thing.
